[VR360]Solar Eclipse Observed From Space and the MoonPlease watch in a VR Headset to feel the heat!
As a rapid proof-of-concept for SxSW, I was challenged to create a 360-degree video showcasing the Solar Eclipse from unprecedented vantage points. I envisioned and realized perspectives from both space and the Moon, offering viewers a truly unique experience.

How NSF is transforming the WORLD
Initially conceived for a single OSTP annual budget meeting, this video quickly became an annual staple at the agency's request, with only numerical updates needed each year. My work involved developing the complete animation—the majority of which was original—supplemented by thoughtfully enhanced stock footage and VFX elements.
Robotic Ivy that Adapts to Changing Environments
A team of researchers led by Suyi Li, a professor at Virginia Tech, is using principles of origami to create robots with unique designs that allow them to operate in dynamic environments for extended periods without human intervention.I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Solar Research - Space Weather
I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Megaraptor Fossils reveal dinosaurs of prehistoric Patagonia
A study led by scientists at The University of Texas at Austinis providing a glimpse into dinosaur and bird diversity in Patagoniaduring the Late Cretaceous, just before the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct.I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Why Did Megalodon Go Extinct?
Megalodon was a gigantic, prehistoric shark with teeth as big as a human hand that ruled the oceans 3-16 million years ago. We’ll explore the Meg’s place in the ancient food web from traces of food left behind in the fossilized enamel of their teeth and look for insights into why the Megalodon went extinct.I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Wildfires transform aquatic ecosystems, with implications for wildlife and water quality
The U.S. National Science Foundation supports research on wildland fire (including controlled burns and wildfires), building knowledge that creates resilient communities, supports national security, safeguards public health and strengthens the economy.I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope- National Solar Observatory
The NSF’s Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST) is the world’s most powerful solar telescope, providing unprecedented detail of the Sun’s surface. It helps us to understand space weather and protect Earth’s technology. NSF funds and operates this groundbreaking facility.
We made a documentary Ka-Lā, (pronounced kah lah, means “the sun” in Hawaiian). I developed the animated sequences integrated into the documentary.
Unique Challenges
This project presented a unique challenge: the original 3D files were unavailable, and I was provided only two extremely low-resolution images with virtually no communication. To overcome this, I diligently analyzed vast video clips, applying my expertise and imagination to meticulously fill in the missing details.
The visualizations were highly praised by the facility’s design scientists for their accuracy and clarity.
